I wish
I wish this wasn't your reality
That you didn't have to fight
For the world to see
Your humanity
I wish this wasn't a memory
A moment of play
Interrupted because they
Assumed I was running away
Left without giving you a say
Stole your laughter that day
Your dignity
Denied
They had fear in their eyes
"We will protect you"
They lied
Ignored your outcry
I wish they felt
The pain it creates
To endure so much hate
What else will they take?
You deserve
So much better
Your worth they can't measure
Your life is a treasure
I wish
I wish they would see
The beauty you bring
What they miss without your creativity
The fullness of
